Only one team can win, usually, it’s not mine…..

Indifference would mean watching something other than sports.

Arlo’s expression in the first panel looks a lot closer to mad and upset than to indifference.

Woah, I sure didn’t see that coming- Elie Wiesel quoted to describe Arlo’s reaction to his football team’s loss.

Before one may truly hate, they must first truly love.

In logical terms, the contrary of love is indifference. The contrapositive of love is hatred.Examples: I love rib steak. I don’t love Cream of Wheat, but I don’t hate it either. I hate cod liver oil.

If you don’t love something, you have not-love for it. You are indifferent to it. That does not mean you hate it. Indifference is the absence of feeling, including the absence of love. If you hate something, you cannot be indifferent. You also cannot love it. That describes the contrapositive.Think of it in terms of numbers. If love is a positive number, the absence of love is zero. Hatred is a negative number. The absence of hatred is also zero. Zero is the don’t give-a-rat’s-patoot-about-it condition.

Love-hate is the normal relationship between all fans and teams.
