What's the most American movie ever made? That's easy. Ghostbusters. People discover that there is life beyond the pale of death. So, they start a small business and cash in. Most of that film is about buying an office, getting better clientele, fighting government regulators, and increasing your workforce. This is a film where the afterlife is proven to be real, yet there is an entire scene devoted to salary negotiation. I guess you never realize how weird culture is while you're inside it. What's the most American buck? Moby Dick. Violent man has a confusing revenge fantasy against a cheap source of oil. Holy crap.

That’s why I love SMBC! I’d never equated Trump to Ahab before – but it fits!

So, does that apply to the remake as well?
