Ramona: Have you lost weight, Gladys?
Gladys: No. Why?
Ramona: I was doing the laundry and I noticed the tags on your dresses all say size 6.
Gladys: I always cut off the left half of clothes tags off to make a 16 look like a 6!
At least she just changes the tag. Lot of women (and not a few guys) I’ve seen lately look like they buy the same size they wore a few years back…..before gaining 40 lbs. Poured themselves in and forgot to say when….
Today’s size 8 is just about 1958’s 16. Today’s size 16 would be up in the mid-20’s. You can easily establish that models haven’t become thinner. The average woman has just become fatter. Of course, Gladys distorts the average.

Womens clothing and shoe sizes don’t make any sense anyway, designed to make them think they are smaller and trimer for their vanity.
