The bagel toaster's busted. I'm gonna open it up and see what's wrong... There's a label that says caution! Do not open! Panel to be removed by authorized repair center only. Oh, that's just something they put on products to keep uneducated people from electrocuting themselves or something... Look! There's a label on the inside too... Hey dummy, what're you doing? We told you not to open this thing.

Raise your hand if you, too, wondered whether Monty had unplugged it first.
The cord is missing in panel 3….so I guess he did.
Good job, Monty.

I was at an electronics store inquiring about a computer repair. Another gentleman was inquiring about repairing a pair of cheap earbuds! LOL! Spend 5-10 bucks on new set. It was 35 bucks just to look at an item.

If this were an SCTV sketch, the second label might have read “Maybe you don’t read so good.”

He’ll probably unwittingly redesign it into a time machine, a la Homer Simpson that one time…

I always take stuff apart To see if I can fix it before I always end up throwing it away.

Monty is so clearly not one of those “uneducated people” he mentions in panel 2!
Snerk!
(That was irony, for those who couldn’t figure it out. Please don’t open This Thing we’ve got….)

Reminds me of a decorative, wooded, 2 -piece panel we had hanging on the garage wall that said “In case of fire, lift this flap” on the outer panel.
You’d lift it, and and underneath the second panel said" Not now, stupid! In case of fire!"
