Bucky Katt: Error and trial, more likely. One taste of this and they'd put you away... maybe it was refined in prison. Rob Wilco: ...says the guy who eats raw fish for breakfast... Bucky Katt: That's different. I eat fish to assert my dominance over them. No olive ever got all up in my grill and disrespected me. Satchel Pooch: You don't really have a "grill." It'd be more accurate to say, "no olive ever got all up in my kebab."

Cats eat fish. It’s natural for them to eat it raw since most animals don’t cook. Crushed olives in cake. That’s not natural.

I suspect that all recipes began with trial and error. I’m still astonished that anyone ever thot to mix honey and mustard, but there it is anyway! (Maybe the Reese’s commercials about how peanut butter and chocolate first got together are more folk history than myth.)
