    My dachshund never gets in the trash. Pretty much all she does is lay on the couch under a throw. Or in a chair behind a pillow. Or on the bed under a blanket. I think you see where this is going . . .

    We got another rescue last month, she’s the only one of our four who can hear me without my having to yell.

    grab him by the scruff and repeat NO. Then put him in his crate.

    Putting him in his crate for bad behavior is not a good idea. He needs a place for punishment and a safe place(crate). Confuse the issue and you will have an even more neurotic dog.
