Artificial in the sense of pointing to a Supreme Intelligence rather than a merely created one?
I would love to see that demonstrated, but He has been so clever in putting natural laws into motion that we may yet come up with a plausible explanation as to how those asteroids got captured in such circular orbits naturally. If that can be ruled out, otherwise worthless rocks in such positions would be a good way of saying, “I’m here, guys!”
On the other hand, if the intelligence were of our genre, why stick asteroids in orbit? Why not something we’d recognize, like a derelict space station made of refined materials?
