Buenos Dias Locos!!

Sigue lloviendo! (Still raining!)

I am at work, yes I know, it’s not even 8 am yet!

We have a kitchen here so I will rustle up some bacon and eggs, and toast with strawberry jam, Pirate Coffee, assoted teas, and that’s about it. Sorry the “pickins are slim” but at least it’s breakfast!

Sorry I disappeared last night! I ended up watching the Bears/Packers game, didn’t matter to me who won, but it was a very good game!

Buenos Dias Dry. It is still raining here as well. We have had over three times as much rain this month than is normal.

Breakfast sound good. Load me up.

I have to go to town today. The store was out of canning jars yesterday and expected to receive more overnight. The weather is supposed to get nice so I want to get canning out of the way when it is still rainy.

HI Dry! I’m still about, I’ve got laundry to do as well so I am up and about every now and again. I wonder how she is doing period, I haven’t seen her in a while.

She busted herself up again, and then caught the flu! You know our Tabby! I told her once she reminded me of Lucy on “I Love Lucy”! That was a compliment because I just loved that show, but if anything can go wrong, it happened to Lucy, and Tabby! SHe is enjoying herself though, otherwise!

johnny did you see the game last night? I didn’t care who won, but it was a good game! Some dumb moves were made on both sides, but it was still a good game. The Packers hadn’t had that many penalties in one game since, I believe they said, 55 years ago. I remember thinking, I was just born about then!

As if I could actually control the weather! We’re getting stormy weather here too now. Plus there is that tropical storm. Now the mosquitoes are breeding also. Yea, NOT!

LOL. Oh yeah, the forecasters know all about me. Swinging machetes and all. Actually one of my girls was very excited to have a hurricane named after her this year, it fizzled out though. She was sad. Boo Hoo!!

Yes as a matter of fact, they mentioned the wind shift in the storm track being caused by some flying machetes that got caught in the eye of the storm. Said some lady was on the ground looking up at the storm and shaking her fist! Thought it sort of looked like you, but I thought, no, she wasn’t out there, she was at home cleaning! :-D

Dry, I saw the first half. I was a bit shocked to see the bears come back and win that one.

johnny Well the Packers got a lot of penalties in that second half, stupid things, they should have known better, the Bears got lucky and I think that’s how they won. It was interesting though!

Dry, I’ll be getting those machetes back somehow. Johnny, I was shocked too!

Owlsly & johnnyd nice to see you both. Man, I can not remember when you were last about Owlsly.

I got all my pickling done. Dry, I used Romanian hot peppers as Hungarian are not available here. They are hot which is a good thing, but I could only get 7 into a quart jar so they will be quite the hefty snack.

Cleo Romanian hot peppers are bigger than Hungarian Wax I take it? I’m not familiar with those. How hot are they on the scoville scale, do you know?

Owlsly, if I dare be so bold, did things work themselves out in your life. I quite worried about you and hope things have become more managable.

Oh Cleo how many quarts did you get? I hope you enjoy them! Did you use the original recipe or the second one I enclosed that I hadn’t personally tried?

I used the second Dry, because I thought that I would personally prefer more vinegar.

The Romanian are not as hot but I was surprised that when I finished hand packing the sauerkraut that my fingers burned for over an hour.

Carmy he was working with hot peppers today, he may have been clothed to protect those delicate areas, you know?

Carmy, I was busy. I only sat down twice. Once for lunch, I didn’t have time for breakfast and once to smoke a cigar, which I do at most once every week or two in the summer.

What a long day. I’ve been in lectures since 4:00p.m.. Just got in at 10:00p.m.

Cleo I must be getting used to doing hot peppers bare handed. I can do them now, including Habaneros, without gloves. I just have to be careful not to rub my face or eyes for awhile. Washing your hands afterwards with rubbing alcohol, a few times, takes most of the oil off your hands and removes most of the burn.

It’s a (Greek) tragedy.

Shika 6 hours in lectures, in the evening? Did you fall asleep at all?

Dry, my ex ruined a pair of soft contact lenses by rubbing her eyes after chopping jalapenos. She could never get them to rid themselves of the heat.

Dry I can’t fall asleep. We have quizzes in both classes. And a turorial over our dinner hour. It’s brutal this semester, and the books are ridiculous- I mean there’s so much to read.

Our Prof from 6-9p.m. also lectures all afternoon. I don’t know how he does it. At least we are sitting.

It’s a Greek tragedy sounds like a punchline from a movie, and I believe it is, isn’t it?

Carmy His voice does sound rather hoarse by the end of the evening. But he uses a microphone for the last two hours.

Carmy now for me that is sleeping weather, heavy rain and lightening and thunder! And I don’t think I’ll see that any more this year. Our thunderstorms and lightening are over, and heck, we didn’t get many this year to begin with!
