We have a kitchen here so I will rustle up some bacon and eggs, and toast with strawberry jam, Pirate Coffee, assoted teas, and that’s about it. Sorry the “pickins are slim” but at least it’s breakfast!
That’s it! The UFO!! Thanks Dry!Cleo, my aren’t we funny today?
I’ll be off and on, checking up on you all. I have lots of stuff to do here in the casa and I would like to get it done ASAP so I can come out to play later.
I have to go to town today. The store was out of canning jars yesterday and expected to receive more overnight. The weather is supposed to get nice so I want to get canning out of the way when it is still rainy.
Hi Carmy…it is nyce to be back….I can wonder at what drama caused the original tribe to retreat to this bastion of “sanity” ?perhaps it is a story some one can relate to me,I bet it was a weird situation and i would luv to be filled in…I offer a piniata filled with godiva choclates…..holds out a bat to any one who wishes to take a smack at it
Hello all! Owlsly its been a while, how are you?
It is raining here too for the record. Might be a while before the bright yellow object shows himself again.
Owlsly You certainly brought the pinata to the right place! Carmy and I have become great aims with those machetes and the incentive inside of yours makes it all the more worhtwhile!
PARDON THE CAPS…I AM SO HAPPY RITE NOW…I HAVE MISSED YOU ALL MORE THAN I RELISED ALL YOU LADIES AND MEN ENJOY THE GODIVAS AND YES I REPLIED TO YOUR POST AT HAIKU EWE “DRY”
Hi Johnny! I think we are getting some rain tonight.
Dry, take a whack at the pinata with your machete and save me some chocolate!
Thanks for the chocolates, Owlsly!
Rats!!! Missed you again, bud!! Study hard, but you’re a smart guy, you’re right, shouldn’t be too hard for you! Good luck on that exam!
Wonder how our Tabby is doing with her tests?
Since we were speaking of weather earlier, tmr. is supposed to be lovely, and then Thurs., someone who shall remain nameless (Carmy) is sending her rain up our way accordng to the weather forecasters! I’ll owe you one GIRLFRIEND!
HI Dry! I’m still about, I’ve got laundry to do as well so I am up and about every now and again.
I wonder how she is doing period, I haven’t seen her in a while.
She busted herself up again, and then caught the flu! You know our Tabby! I told her once she reminded me of Lucy on “I Love Lucy”! That was a compliment because I just loved that show, but if anything can go wrong, it happened to Lucy, and Tabby! SHe is enjoying herself though, otherwise!
johnny did you see the game last night? I didn’t care who won, but it was a good game! Some dumb moves were made on both sides, but it was still a good game. The Packers hadn’t had that many penalties in one game since, I believe they said, 55 years ago. I remember thinking, I was just born about then!
As if I could actually control the weather! We’re getting stormy weather here too now. Plus there is that tropical storm. Now the mosquitoes are breeding also. Yea, NOT!
LOL. Oh yeah, the forecasters know all about me. Swinging machetes and all.
Actually one of my girls was very excited to have a hurricane named after her this year, it fizzled out though. She was sad. Boo Hoo!!
Yes as a matter of fact, they mentioned the wind shift in the storm track being caused by some flying machetes that got caught in the eye of the storm. Said some lady was on the ground looking up at the storm and shaking her fist! Thought it sort of looked like you, but I thought, no, she wasn’t out there, she was at home cleaning! :-D
johnny Well the Packers got a lot of penalties in that second half, stupid things, they should have known better, the Bears got lucky and I think that’s how they won. It was interesting though!
Owlsly & johnnyd nice to see you both. Man, I can not remember when you were last about Owlsly.
I got all my pickling done. Dry, I used Romanian hot peppers as Hungarian are not available here. They are hot which is a good thing, but I could only get 7 into a quart jar so they will be quite the hefty snack.
Oh Cleo how many quarts did you get? I hope you enjoy them! Did you use the original recipe or the second one I enclosed that I hadn’t personally tried?
Carmy, I was busy. I only sat down twice. Once for lunch, I didn’t have time for breakfast and once to smoke a cigar, which I do at most once every week or two in the summer.
Cleo I must be getting used to doing hot peppers bare handed. I can do them now, including Habaneros, without gloves. I just have to be careful not to rub my face or eyes for awhile. Washing your hands afterwards with rubbing alcohol, a few times, takes most of the oil off your hands and removes most of the burn.
Dry I can’t fall asleep. We have quizzes in both classes. And a turorial over our dinner hour. It’s brutal this semester, and the books are ridiculous- I mean there’s so much to read.
Our Prof from 6-9p.m. also lectures all afternoon. I don’t know how he does it. At least we are sitting.
Hola Shika! I’m glad you found some chocolates.
Cleo, be extra careful with the peppers next. time. We certainly don’t want you to burn your nether regions.
Dry, it’s raining really hard over here. When I took the trash out earlier, the lightening was just starting. I hope it stops by the morning.
Carmy now for me that is sleeping weather, heavy rain and lightening and thunder! And I don’t think I’ll see that any more this year. Our thunderstorms and lightening are over, and heck, we didn’t get many this year to begin with!

Sorry I disappeared last night! I ended up watching the Bears/Packers game, didn’t matter to me who won, but it was a very good game!
cleokaya about 14 years ago

cleokaya about 14 years ago

Cleo Romanian hot peppers are bigger than Hungarian Wax I take it? I’m not familiar with those. How hot are they on the scoville scale, do you know?
cleokaya about 14 years ago
Owlsly, if I dare be so bold, did things work themselves out in your life. I quite worried about you and hope things have become more managable.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 14 years ago
Don’t worry Carmy! Accuweather is on it as we speak!!
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 14 years ago

I used the second Dry, because I thought that I would personally prefer more vinegar.
johnnydoc5 about 14 years ago
Break from studying. Gonna watch some TV.
johnnydoc5 about 14 years ago
Hi Cleo and Carmy!
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 14 years ago
They were both mery similar, either one will be good! Scoville scale, heat wise. . ?
cleokaya about 14 years ago
Howdy johnnyd. When did you become #5? If you say that you always have been, I will commit myself as we speak.
carmy about 14 years ago
Cleo! You were a busy man today, oops, a busy nekkid man. Johnny, I hope everything is going well for you.
Shikamoo Premium Member about 14 years ago

Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 14 years ago
Cleo I think he was always 5? Pretty sure,
cleokaya about 14 years ago
Howdy Carmy.
The Romanian are not as hot but I was surprised that when I finished hand packing the sauerkraut that my fingers burned for over an hour.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 14 years ago
Carmy he was working with hot peppers today, he may have been clothed to protect those delicate areas, you know?
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 14 years ago
Heaven forbid if he would spill some of those hot pepper seeds in the wrong direction! ROFLMAO!!!
Shikamoo Premium Member about 14 years ago
Hola Locos amigis!
Thank you Owlsey! Missed you. :-(
Hi Jonny! Missed you as well. Not to mention everyone who has posted today.

Howdy Shika how is my lovely lady?
Leave it to me to miss the 5 in johnnyd’s name.

Hey cleo and Dry!!!
Shikamoo Premium Member about 14 years ago
What a long day. I’ve been in lectures since 4:00p.m.. Just got in at 10:00p.m.
Greek is killing me.
cleokaya about 14 years ago
Hello Shika. How are you fairing my dear?

Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 14 years ago
Shika 6 hours in lectures, in the evening? Did you fall asleep at all?
Shikamoo Premium Member about 14 years ago
cleo I am faring well. I am fairing well too, as my tan is disappearing slowly!
:-D
cleokaya about 14 years ago
Dry, that is why we know you as a FHIG.
Shika, how about a geek tragedy?
Shikamoo Premium Member about 14 years ago
Dry You must have burned the nerve endings off your fingers. Those hot peppers are lethal to touch.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 14 years ago
No Shika! I can still feel with my fingers! You just get used to it! Like Cleo said, that’s why I’m known as FHIG, among other reasons! LOL!
cleokaya about 14 years ago
Dry, my ex ruined a pair of soft contact lenses by rubbing her eyes after chopping jalapenos. She could never get them to rid themselves of the heat.
Shikamoo Premium Member about 14 years ago
Dry I can’t fall asleep. We have quizzes in both classes. And a turorial over our dinner hour. It’s brutal this semester, and the books are ridiculous- I mean there’s so much to read.

It’s a Greek tragedy sounds like a punchline from a movie, and I believe it is, isn’t it?
Anyway, IT’S ALL GREEK TO ME!
cleokaya about 14 years ago
Many other reasons Dry, all… hot!!!!!!!!!!
Shikamoo Premium Member about 14 years ago

Shika, it’s a wonder the man isn’t hoarse!
cleokaya about 14 years ago
Movie time.
Shikamoo Premium Member about 14 years ago

carmy about 14 years ago
Hola Shika! I’m glad you found some chocolates. Cleo, be extra careful with the peppers next. time. We certainly don’t want you to burn your nether regions. Dry, it’s raining really hard over here. When I took the trash out earlier, the lightening was just starting. I hope it stops by the morning.

Carmy His voice does sound rather hoarse by the end of the evening. But he uses a microphone for the last two hours.
