To me the charm of “The Andy Griffith Show” lies in Sheriff Taylor’s ability to solve problems without throwing a punch or drawing his gun. ;D

Farside99 – for those too young to remember, need to explain “What it was, was football….” It was Andy Griffin’s routine ‘explaining the first football game he ever saw.’ It is a classic and still funny. I think that brought him first to national attention. He was funny without being vulgar; a rarity today.

If you want to see a completely different Andy Griffith, check out his movie “A Face in the Crowd.”

Lloyd Harnishfeger was a PG school principal, a good man, i just didn’t want to act up too much, besides if i did – it was worse at home. Another Lima News reader submits another good one to Pluggers!

It was nice when you could watch TV or go to the movies without having to keep one hand over your ears and the other over you eyes.

Why a red flag? Are you in the market? That was a conclusion jumped with Molly Ivins, the humorist reporter who named Shrub and fought the “awl bidness”. Actually, she was once engaged, he was killed, and she never found his equal.
