My mom was grey at 18 ( premature grey hair runs in her side of the family ). For most of my childhood, I thought her hair was either blue or purple hued because of the rinse ladies put in their hair in those days.
In her later years, she eschewed the blue in favor of a peach coloring.
.
Her sister, on the other hand, refused to tint or dye her hair and was white haired. Her son, who was six weeks my senior was grey at 21 and by 40 had a beautiful head of white hair, which I envied..
.
Conversely, my dad, at 80 had a full head of hair with very little grey ( most of which I probably caused.)
I was 23 when I got my first grey hair, and by my 30’s I was dying my hair to most closely resemble my original hair color. Finally stopped when I was 65. It grew out well and by the time all the colored hair was gone, I was mostly white with some grey shading. My hairdresser said it was beautiful and that a lot of ladies would pay big money to get hair color like mine. Other people have said about the same thing since then.
Hello Everyone!I have been reading these comics for years and years, and only now am I finally signing up! I have enjoyed your comments through the years as well. This should be fun! :)
hair – don’t grow where it once did. now grows in places it shouldn’t. the only consolation i have is when someone says “not much up there is there?” i can simply assume they mean my hair and not my brain :)
My wife had enough grey hair to notice when she was 13. She stopped dyeing her hair when she was 25 and it looked stunning. Many would try to stop dyeing thier hair, but since they were in thier 40s, thier hair was not as healthy.

My blonde mother once dyed her hair (strawberry?) red when she was a teenager.

I’ve seen some fine-lookin’ grey-haired women.

I always hope that I come after my mother. She’s 70 now and has hardly any grey hair at all. Her hair still has its original natural color.

She has to go by what a complete stranger says because old Ben would never give her a compliment.

Click on his avatar and read his bio. He lives in Seattle, but he IS a Mormon, so maybe it’s possible if he ever lived in Utah. :)

I have never had my hair fully dyed. I’ve only had some blonde highlights in.
I’m perfectly happy with my brunette hair.
