In our house hubby cooks and does dishes. He’s retired (after an accident) and I’m not a good cook, so he took over. We are both happier.

My mother would cook, wash up and still be scrubbing the kitchen 3 hours later! I quite enjoy washing up….. well I prefer it to ironing!

According to the USDA, high-acid canned goods, like tomatoes and citrus fruits, will keep for up to 1½ years. Low-acid canned goods—that’s pretty much everything else, including vegetables, meat, and fish—will last for up to 5 years.

Woman once told Readers Digest that, on those nights when it was only she and her husband in the house at dinnertime, they would use the sink and not the dishwasher for the few plates and things they used at dinner. One such evening, as he was getting things ready, she sat down in front of a TV show. After he called to her twice and got an indifferent “Coming” response from her each time, he walked into the living room, took her by the hair, and gave her an extremely long, passionate kiss. When she came up for air, she asked, “What was that for?” He replied, “Just trying to turn on the dishwasher.”
