Ha! First time I was ever one of the first ones here. But since it is a little after 2:00 in the morning, I should be going to bed soon. Lily – your staff all quit and you have someone willing to apply – give the dog a chance!

Good morning, Graham Crackers (or is it Good night, since I’m going to bed in a couple minutes?) I just wanted to ask you to keep my brother Mark in your prayers today. He is having knee replacement surgery later today. Just having one knee done though both knees are giving him pain. I get to take care of his cat for him and pick up his mail until he returns home. He’ll be in a rehab facility for a week or more after surgery. The length of his stay there will be determined by how quickly he recovers.

Blatant discrimination!

So yesterday I was sent an invitation to check out the BETA site for GoComics. I did and sent them a reply that I’m sure won’t go over well and am waiting to hear back from them. I told that that since the change with no pictures the site kinda sucks now. That although I understand that the pictures did slow the site down some and people were complaining that those people were complaining and on the site still making advertising dollars for them. I couldn’t find some of my favorite comics anymore on BETA and realized they were on Sherpa and if those comics weren’t going to be part of GoComics and I couldn’t see pictures others had posted then I couldn’t see any reason to continue with GoComics. Hence less readers equals less advertising dollars. Don’t know if it will help but money talks and I may walk.

It’s well known that when dogs “pass gas”, it clears the room. This kitty wants out of the room desperately.

Thanks everyone for the good wishes for my brother. He’s determined to work hard on the therapy so he can mend as quickly as possible. But any surgery is a risk. He’s been through other surgeries – heart bypass, hernias and surgery on his shoulder (I can’t think of what that was called – not a disk, but something like that).

Sorry I’ve been AWOL yesterday and last night.. I reached across the bathtub to clean it and felt something give in my hip!

I’ve been sitting with a heating pad on it and yesterday had a heck of a time getting dressed (Dale was out playing golf, so no help) Don’t even ask about taking off my “underwear” last night!

It seems to be better this morning, but I’m not ready to Tango just yet.

I hope the new site will let us post pics, although I doubt it, in the meantime for those of us not on Facebook, it you cllick on bbear’s pic twice it will come up with no ad square and show left and right arrows, so you can scroll thru today’s pics without having to return to GC each time.

Lily….how can you turn down a ready and willing potential employee just on the basis of him/her being a dog!!!! For shame..Speaking of dogs, my pooch, Maxie, was quite sick yesterday and I didn’t want him to climb stairs to my bedroom so I slept near him in a recliner. Today he is much better (poached a chicken breast in broth and he kept it down…fingers crossed) and installed pet heating pads downstairs and upstairs (he’s been enjoying one for hours) and opened the sofa bed (for me) just in case he wants to sleep downstairs again. We may leave it open for a while because it is SO much more comfortable watching TV and reading on it. The 3 cats have had a ball bouncing on it and exploring. I’m the only one so far who hasn’t tried it out.
