    Well, fortunately, Christmas isn’t usually dependent upon Dad’s tastes (or not) in haberdashery! Many years from now, when Dad is expressing his old sentiments: “(Sigh) Yeah, I remember when Penny (as a little one) wrapped up her first gift for me in three rolls of wrapping paper; yet I just Loved it! It was a hand-painted necktie! — she painted a Robin on it with the enclosed paints, along with the ballpoint pen inscription underneath it: ‘Spring is just around the corner!’ Well, sort of, anyway! It was, yes, a blank ‘Decorate it Yourself’ tie!”

    Mom wants to save each little piece of wrapping paper. My Mom did. We got rid of lots of boxes of tiny pieces when she died.

    I always save tissue paper because if I re-use it it is easier to crinkle
