Many a noisy toy lost its ability to be obnoxious when my kids were little. The grandparents were good at giving those kind of toys.

My oldest step-daughter is blind, nearly deaf, and has a child-like mind
She loves loud toys
She has practically no sense of time
We are very lucky that the way our house is built, sound doesn’t travel well from her bedroom to ours

My brother had three or four toy cars with sirens. Too bad those sirens broke some day. (Our parents didn’t replace the batteries.)
