Beni: you should see the Christmas tree we've got! It's so tall it scrapes against the ceiling! Alice: we haven't gotten a tree yet. Beni: You don't have a tree? Alice: No. Dill: We've got a tree! Heck, we've still got our tree from last year! Beni: Maybe you can use Dill's old tree! Alice: ew. Dill: My brothers've been storing laundry on it so I'll have to ask them first.

Let’s say Dill’s family’s tree isn’t artificial. So how can they still have the previous year’s tree? (Lazy brothers of Dill’s!)

Dill’s brothers remind me of my wife’s family. 8 kids, 6 boys 2 girls. No trebuchets, but they did build a 30 foot tall party raft for their lake. Makes me feel right at home every time Dill mentions his brothers. They could easily be my in-laws.
