Adam: How could this happen?? We checked the cover!! "Monfey Business" makes no sense!! jMy novel's about monkeys!! How long will it take to reprint all of these? Laura: Was that a scream? Clayton: More like a heart-rending wail of soul-crushing anguish.

Thatâs why, in the real world, the publisher sends the writer a âfinal proofâ copy.

The title doesnât matter because no one reads books about monkeys, anyway ⊠apes are all the rage these days.

Just print up a corrected dust cover and call it done.

He would have been better off with SGIASU.

âA heart rendering wail of soul crushing anguishâ ? When did Adam start playing the Bagpipes?
Robert Allen over 8 years ago
@nosirrom: I must take exception with your characterization of bagpipes. I thoroughly enjoy my Scottish piping music. And donât get me started on the uses of bagpipes for rock alternative music.

Now I have this annoying âScotland the Braveâ earwormâŠ

I had a bagpiper walk up to a funeral I was to preach, walk past the coffin, and walk off into the distance. Very impressive.

Actually a misspelled title to the book could be a novelty. There would be future bookruns with error corrected but what fun to have Monfey Business on the book cover to own

This is one of the reasons I self-publishâŠ

Back in the day, when you could still order vinyl records from so-called record clubs, a buddy of mine ordered a copy of Styx âPieces of Eightâ album. What got delivered to him had all the Styx cover art and labels, but the music was totally odd. He gave me the album because I thought it was hilarious. I did a little research and it turns out that one side of the vinyl platter had side 1 of an LP by a band called âBig Pigâ (you canât make this stuff up). The other side was from an album by a band called âOrchestral Manoeuvres in the Darkâ who i guess enjoyed some commercial success in the 80s. I still have the album; no idea if itâs worth anything.
