Had a neighbor like that once. One time he came past the house spluttering and bouncing by in a used hovercraft. He was our neighborhood Gyro Gearloose.
One of the delights of living in the friendly ( if slightly eccentric ) environs of Ballard is that the neighbors are indeed entertaining.
There’s no need to be glued to the television or attached 24/7 to the internet. What goes on here is more than enough diversion for anyone.
.
By the by, Balardeers, tomorrow is the big Pre-Christmas Christmas Parade and promises to be bigger and better than ever !
Sherif-IDonNeedNoAggervashunInMyTown-MunkyBluz has assured me that everything is securely secured and law and order and public decorum will be upheld – especially in light of those unfortunate incidents at last year’s parade. ( Marvin Lipsinker has finally recovered from that unfortunate experience with the amorous reindeer ) and although the Naked Santas Marching Band, Drill Team & Tap Dancers are returning by popular demand, Sherif has informed then that they will have to wait until after the parade to fill themselves with liquid Christmas cheer at the Tiki.I hope to see you all there. I am ( reluctantly ) appearing again as Papa Noel .( I swear I’m going on a diet in January ! ) I’ll be passing out candy to the kids, compliments of Ballard’s own Painless Dentist, Dr. Phil Andrill
They will be throwing candy to the children and I hope we don’t have a repeat of 2005 when the “candy” was flavored with Purple Cush. Tasty, but the adults trampled a couple of kids to get to it first.
George Higgenpooder (the Mrs,’s nephew) promised not to ……well……lets just say getting molested by a large hairy man in a deer costume was NOT the highlight of the Parade!
The “girls” will be wearing our special outfits, made with material from Dennis’s Fabric and Carpet Emporium.

Now, does that contraption swing him out, or is there a trap door underneath the rug?

Most of Ballard Street could entertain itself by watching themselves.
