Heart: Hey, what's going on?! Where is it?! Mom: Where's what? Heart: My special Christmas ornament! You know, the little mouse in pajamas and night hat, with the little light up candle! He's totally not in the box! Mom: Well, he's gotta be here somewhere. He didn't just run off. Heart: That's true. He wasn't appropriately dressed for the winter weather.

I think my favorite ornament from my family’s collection is Santa Claus kneeling afore the Christ Child in the manger. Of course there’s also the teddy bear-shaped picture frame of me as a baby celebrating my first Christmas.

I’ve still got the plastic Santa (used to hold lolllipops) I got from my Great Grandma when we came through New York on our immigrant trek (1953)

I’ve got two different TNG Enterprises, a Klingon bird-of-prey and a Borg cube. You push the button on the cube and the “Borg voices” say: “We are the Borg. Enjoy your holidays. Resistance is futile!”

I’m guessing the xmas storyline this time will be about her looking for that ornament.
