Really nothing funny about this strip. Don’t let your pets out without a leash unless you can pay 100% attention so they don’t wander off, and I should not have to say don’t point a snow blower or lawn mower aat them.
Weird that my neighbor’s dog barks like crazy at the corded string trimmer, and at the other side’s gas string trimmer, but not at the lawn mowers or the battery powered trimmer.
I don’t have a dog,but I do own a snow thrower,and they’re a damn dangerous machine.I get the joke,but I would never operate one near an animal or kids for that matter.That being said,hey! It’s just a comic strip!
Anybody else notice that in the first two panels, the blower is pointed to John’s right and in the last two it is pointed to his left? How’d that happen?
The chute is movable on snow throwers, usually in a radius of 180degrees via a lever on the handle. This allows the operator to direct the snow from your driveway onto your neighbours.
Animal cruelty is never funny, even in a comic (and this is a strip that is constantly praised for its “realism” — it’s not like Wile-E Coyote running into a painted mountain).

Blowing snow on him is funny and it really didn’t happen and not an advertisement to do so. I understand your feelings, GOCUBZGO.

GoCubzGo is spot on! Lynn goofed on this one. Nothing funny here! (I must assume Lynn had no idea how violently these machine throw snow.)
