Most would say “gormet gruel” is an oxymoron. I would define it as food that’s too fancy for me.
I tried Googling it just now and got pics of Cream of Wheat, which I used to get for breakfast on cold mornings, with margarine and brown sugar. If Millie’s mom makes it good, it should be fine. _

“Cruel” and “Gruel” look nearly identical. Coincidence? I don’t think so…
