Poor little Blitzen Kitty. Actually dog food lacks the proper nutrients for a cat, so Sluggo needs to buy some cat food.

Cats require higher levels of protein than dogs. Cats must have the amino acid called ‘taurine’ in their diet; dogs can actually make their own taurine. A cat eating food deficient in taurine can develop severe heart disease and other health problems. Almost all cat foods now contain added taurine.

Hate to tell you this, Guy, but that is no longer a stray kitty. The starving kitty I fed a couple of years ago just left my electric blanket to go outside.

@Crandlemire: let’s not forget ash content…cats and dogs require vastly different levels. Most dogs love anything really stinky. Cat foods that are chicken and fish based are often targeted by the dog in the house. Excessive devouring of same can cause kidney problems in the canine. Which is why or dogs are floor fed and our cat gets her food on a countertop.

Hey folks. Sluggo has a dog. So, he gave the cat dog food. Perhaps because of the snow he couldn’t go to the store. It’s better than nothing. Who knows when was the cat last ate? Merry Christmas and Happy Chanukah everyone!

I’m sure dog food for a short time won’t hurt. My dog just loves the cat’s food (they say it’s crack for dogs) and when he can get to it, it gives him awful gas. He doesn’t care.

My Zuzu is sleeping on my pillow right now!Outside there is very windy cold and rainy! I’ve had her for 4 years now! She’s an alley cat so she can go wherever she likes on good weather (we have a garden).

When I was 8 years old I fed a young alley cat that was on my porch. 17 years later she died and I was heart broken.
