As we know people have committed suicide over some words an pictures on public pillories.

Yeah, that saying works better backwards.

Words can only hurt you if you let them. It is a sign of maturity when you do not give other people the power to control how you feel. Below are the opening lines of one of my favorite poems.

Words can stab you like a knife.

I’ve been called plenty of names in my time but I’ve developed a thick skin over the years and now I couldn’t care less what people think of me.
