Actually, dogs have only a fraction of the taste receptors humans have (despite having many times more smell receptors). That’s why they can and will eat almost anything.
Actually we don’t know for sure what a dog sees, smells, or tastes. We are pretty sure, however, that ours thinks about treats a lot.
