Welcome to your orientation, little girl. You’re destined for a life of toil and being treated as somewhat defective property.

(Wednesday) for now, anyway (where I posted my usual comment).

For those who look here early and don’t have the strip e-mailed to them, a new strip was posted here

Since this is a repeat, I’ll repeat the comment I posted:

    .

At this year’s children fashion show, the off-the shoulder look was all the rage.

The 1899 Copenhagen “Nurse-in” protest was not readily recognized as much of a protest. More of just an everyday event. (Those three in the back)

Our kids were part of the rubella testing. It had been proved safe, they helped determine effectiveness and duration. This was 1962. General availability came later. There was an outbreak in 1965 and they didn’t contract it – but my wife did!

Regarding this, 2 URLs (copy each as one line):

    https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:El-Rei_D._Dinis_Administrando_Justi%C3%A7a_(1899)_-_Veloso_Salgado.png

has info and links that point to info about this mural (not oil on canvas, best viewed by Google Chrome – can automatically translate linked pages, if necessary).

has a short bio of this artist.

Again, a larger strip image is shown by clicking the image in Mr. Melcher’s blog entry for today (December 23, 2016), accessible by the Check Out The Blog! box in the right hand column; so, I won’t point to it here.
