I know it’s only a joke in a cartoon, but people (almost entirely women) who have to live with a possessive spouse who’s prone to jealousy and suspicion have a very difficult life and should seek some kind of support from groups set up to combat spousal abuse. This kind of thing can get real ugly real fast.

Grammar police, here. “My” is a possessive adjective. “Mine” is a possessive pronoun. That is all.

Actually, when I first saw this, I thought My Brother was the equivalent of Big Brother. The pronoun’s certainly keeping enough tabs.
