Well, back in the day when all home phones were corded, if u wanted privacy (if u had a long cord) u would bring the phone into the bathroom. But the cartoon is inaccurate because it is showing an old “Candlestick phone” which is not attached to a base or stand and therefore u would not drag the stand into the bathroom, u would bring the phone only.

But the cartoon is inaccurate because it is showing an old “candlestick” type phone which did not have a wooden base or stand, and therefore u would bring only the phone into the bathroom, not drag in the stand it was sitting on.
Did you hear about the woman who accidentally dropped her purse down into a Portable-Potty? She dove down in there and got it. Why? Her lunch was in it:)
