I’d have liked the SW series had it been written by Woody Allen.

Tbh it didn´t feel like a star wars movie to me, way too many humans and not enough aliens. Also the plot felt a bit forced after the middle.

I’m pretty sure that the $7 billion Disney made last year will, in some small way, console them over your critique.

I love the way they connected it to Episode IV so smoothly. It brings new depth to the famous beginning scenes with the star destroyer fly over Tatooine. When the no-name trooper says, “The Death Star plans are not in the main computer,” we know exactly what he’s talking about. And when Leia puts the data card into R2, we know exactly where that data card has been and how many lives were sacrificed to get it there. It’s total awesomeness, to me.

I dunno. I haven’t seen Rogue One, but TFA was just a remake of ANH. It was nothing but fan service. Look, I hated Jar-Jar Binks as much as the next guy, and I’m not thrilled about all the changes to the each film Lucas made – but at least he was trying something NEW and not just rehashing old ideas. Also, he didn’t threaten lawsuits against fans who used the word “Lightsaber”. We won’t know for sure where the new trilogy is headed until later this year, but I hope they try some new ideas. NO MORE DEATH STARS! Or anything like them!
