@SOMEBODYSHORT – I usually don’t recommend letting children drink my Nuclear Coffee, but in this case I might make an exception

“Not allowed to have coffee”? I had coffee as a child.

Stay vigilant Mom. We must protect our children from the pandemic scourge of caffeine addiction. I blame the number one purveyor of caffeine in this country and their Columbian connection - Juan Valdez.
BTW his dad’s name is Burt, is his Mom’s name Ernestine? ;-) (I know it’s Bert)

Heaven forbid children should have coffee. Let them drink Coke, instead. With added sugars and high-fructose corn syrup!

NEEDACHUCKLE — that was my thought – Again??
KATZENBOOKS45 — Yes, coke , much better for kids – and it has the caffeine too.

As a kid I enjoyed a kiwi strawberry drink that I could only find at our local Chevron. No food coloring added, sold cold in 20oz glass bottles. It disappeared from the market about 20 years ago, but I still look for something that comes close.

I wrote something similar to this a few months ago. I wrote that I had travelled back in time and I was 7 years old again and it was my birthday. I wrote about the whole day, remembering that when I was a kid, my grandparents would come over for my birthday (and my two brothers’ birthdays) and grandma would bring the birthday cake. Then I remembered how we kids had to drink milk while the adults had coffee (my mom had one of those old fashioned percolators) and how much I wanted coffee. Being a kid again would be wonderful, imagine getting to redo many things and this time hopefully get it right, but no coffee????

I was waiting for young Adam to realize he can’t get his java fix as a kid. You need to be an adult in the real world to earn those cups of Joe

I started drinking coffee at 15, but it was actually mocha – by adding a packet of coca to it.
