Baldo: Dad, what did Socrates mean when he said...."the unexamined life is not worth living? Dad: Bwah ha ha Dad: It means you should read the funnies every day.
I read them to get enough different filters on the news that I can approximate the facts; learn some useful trivia; and share some of my experiences to help answer those who ask for it. Like with parables and myth, sometimes cartoon fiction can convey the truth better than mere data.
I don’t actually read/speak Spanish, but I used to sometimes enjoy reading Baldo in that language. Since the re-modeling here, I haven’t seen it. Anyone know what happened to it?

Would that all the comics were that comical. The funny papers have ceased being funny, years ago.
Still, I read ‘em daily and do chuckle at some. I’m occasionally rewarded by real funny-bone tickler, worthy of real guffaws !

The word “comic” didn’t originally mean “funny”. That was the name of the publication name.
