Frazz by Jef Mallett for February 01, 2017
Transcript:
Girl: The problem with February is anything due at the end of the month is due two or three days sooner. Though the good thing is there's nothing else to do. Which is more like a slightly less bad thing. Frazz: I thought it was shortened because people got tired of enunciating it by the 25th.

My brother from a different mother Hated February. Hated it. Hated it.
So in the humor of life, he died in February last year. I bet he really hates it now.

My understanding was that this too is due to Julius and Augustus Caesar, who swiped a couple of days from February so that the months named for them wouldnāt be shorter than, say, January or March.

Proper pronunciation of the name of the month is feb-ru-ary, not the more common feb-you-ary. I donāt think most people get tired of saying it correctly; they get tired of being corrected when they mispronounce it.

Well, Iāve demoted it to Febuary. Alert the media.

In Canada, the first r gets pronounced, as does the second syllable in Wednesday.

Vouchers for charter schools are there to suck money from the public schools to pad the ācapitalistā machines. DeVos is grossly ignorant of that which she hates. If you can get someone in school they will not be. I donāt see any of your Charter Schools helping, just the much maligned public schools in your morbid fantasies.
