Obviously you were never bullied in a school where faculty found it easier to punish you rather than confront the bully and his parents, and fighting back could only make things worse.
@KROYKALI This is true. My nephew went to a school where the policy was that both parties to a fight were subject to suspension for the same period of time. The school didn’t care who started it; they didn’t want to be arbiters of a he said/she said type of situation. I’m sure the policy had its roots in wanting to prevent the bully’s parents from hauling them into court for punishing their sweet, innocent child (in case you hadn’t noticed, the parents of most bullies are bullies themselves).

True, there’s no need for the “$” sign if the characters are just saying “10 bucks”. It’s sound like the extortionist is saying “ten dollars bucks”.
