No it is not okay. No reason to allow your dog, regardless of size, to bark it’s head off. They can be trained out of the behavior. My 7 lb. chihuahua x terrier adopted in November is now quiet 90% of the time. Some dogs and strangers just bring it out in her, but she is learning. Can’t believe how many people say ‘Oh little dogs just do that.’ I tell them there is no excuse for letting your dog misbehave in such a way.
