I once had a golden retriever: best dog ever. However he did shed a bit. In the morning we’d ask guests how they liked our new hardwood floors. By afternoon we’d be asking how they liked the deep-pile, orange shag carpet.
.
I fed the dog, so I knew what he ate. I picked up his poo, so I know what came out the other side. The remainder did not account for the mass of the fur he shed daily. My conclusion was that the dog was capable of photosynthesis.

That’s our house, except our 5 cats are all gray or black and the dog is a St Bernard
