Correction: Richard Thompson WAS pretty darn good (died 2016). In the mean time, at least Stephan Pastis gave it his best while Richard battled (and lost) Parkinson’s disease.
I know better, Rat. My secret anonymous sources tell me that Cartoon-Boy drew this for dear Richard (may his memory live forever!) using your long pointy nose as his pen; in fact, a clout of ink still remains at the tip of your nose as a reminder!

Love Cul De Sac, and I mourn Richard. Don’t know when this was drawn, but it’s a wonderful tribute.

A nice reminder though many still do not know him. I did not until I came here in 2009- 2010.

I think perhaps he drew it with his left foot.

I like that his cul-de-sac is almost drawn childlike. It took awhile to get used to but now I love it. Rest in Peace dear Mr Thompson

Pastis should have stuck with something more his style. Like ditch digging or stable cleaning.
