If a healthcare system cannot conform to an aging, self-serving, exclusive, neoliberal, political ideology, that benefits private insurance companies OVER people’s health, what good is it?
Actually fixing the problems with the US medical system would require a well thought out comprehensive approach addressing ridiculous levels of profit (5000% markup over production cost on 70 year old drugs is insane), crazy expectations (you aren’t going to live forever), nonsense (NEVER stop life support) and simple greed spread throughout the system.
I am not holding my breath for that one. You’re more likely to see flying pigs.
Now is the time to go full on Single Payer only the worst possible people are in charge. The worst of them (Right Wing Libertarians) want nothing to do with our govt helping anyone. They won’t be happy till it is stopped 100% instead of left as a brain dead thing as the write up is now.
