Amen. It never ceases to amaze me when hard dry bulbs or tiny seeds planted the year before emerge in spring as beautiful flowers. It does give one a sense of wonder and hope.
There was a bees’ nest in the base of our house once. I would lie on the ground and watch the bees go in & out. They acknowledged my presence by occasionally hovering in front of me but neither of us “bugged” the other. All that came to an end when my brother’s evil friend, Timmy, threw rocks at the nest. My brother & his friend Dennis got a few stings; Timmy got none, but Dennis’ little brother, Paul, was stung from head to toe! Paul was taken to the hospital and my father got rid of the nest.

The leaves on all the trees are a bright lime green. Spring has officially begun.

Sigh. My yard is still mostly mud. It will make the onset of floral growth all the more sweet.

Otherwise known as that wonderful state of reverie.
