It’s a shame many people today won’t watch older movies just because they are in black and white or don’t have computer generated effects. The original King Kong is not only superior to any of the remakes, but all the technical aspects the crew had to overcome to make it happen are astounding. Willis O’Brien’s stop motion animation is still top-notch! If you haven’t seen the original… get off your rump and watch it!
I think back to when they were just coming out with color TVs, at the commercials pitching color TV and I would think what’s point. You can’t see the color if you don’t have one and you do you already have one.
Fortunately, yes, otherwise I wouldn’t see all those ½ hour “Gunsmokes” in beautiful black & white weekday afternoons. Matt Dillon talked more often and used more words than he did by the end of the series. It’s also fun to get to know Chester again.
