    Camping on the beach in 90+ degree heat with swarms of mosquitoes in Cape Hatteras cured me.

    It probably sounds ridiculous, but my favorite moment is after I’ve had breakfast, broken camp, and am hoisting on my pack, and I realize that come nightfall, I’ll be setting up somewhere else 10 or 15 miles away. And you’re almost always assured of new experiences and discoveries along the journey.
