Just go up and open the door. I have been in this situation (arriving home at the same time as the delivery man showed up) and I did not try to get the delivery man to give me the food. I just walked to the door ahead of him, opened the door and waited the 3 seconds for him to catch up. Saves time over trying to prove my identity.
