Most programming was written for an ideal situation with no real world or evil intentions considerations. Windows 95 was the dog retrieving the stick when others were ice fishing with sticks of dynamite.
And Microsoft is complicit in this stupidity by having the default condition of their flagship “Windows” program being “do not show executable extensions”. Which means, in my case, a virus named “Fabulous 1956 Lincoln Continental Mark II.exe” would stand a better than even chance of getting a “click!” (we each have our own Sexual attractants!)
