I believe marshmallow (like jello & anything else containing gelatin) contain pig bone. Therefore an ingredient in it did die. Also brown sodas attain their coloring from ground up beetles.

Well.. the wood for the fire was killed.. and most of that marshmallow came from things that died a long time ago.
