Music: AAAIIEEEEE !!!! Alex: This is great, Toggle! Toggle: Thanks. Alex: Not too loud for your mom? Toggle: Nah... she raised me on this... Woman: LEO! Toggle: What, Ma? Woman: For God's sake, turn it up!
I recently got some new neighbors. Their kid thought he could tick me off by blasting hip-hop out his window at my back yard, every danged saturday. What he didn’t know is that the cables to the 6 moveable speakers from my 3-manual digital concert organ are long enough to reach into the garage, and my garage doors face his house.
Juvenile, I know, but sometimes you have to get respect any way you can, and I just wanted to see if he would call the cops on a 54-year old church organist.
I remember when I destroyed my son’s street cred by asking him what he was listening to, then telling him to turn it up because I liked it (Counting Crows, “Mr Jones”)
Ttry “Hangover” by Max Webster. Highly under appreciated Southern Ontario band of 70’s - 80’s vintage. Used to be label mates of Rush and still reunite for occasional gigs.
Orgelspieler:
I listen to NPR and love sunday Baroque. Did you blast him with JSB’s Toccata and Fugue in D minor? Do you put on a mask and cape for that bit?
Do you know any Danny Elfman tunes or J. Williams “Duel of fates ” , K. Orf’s “Karmina Burana: O Fortuna”, K, Jenkins “Palladio”? I would put money in a tip jar if anyone around me performed these in his garage!

For me it was Jimi Hendrix. Loud, just so works on guitar licks.

My mom used to blast Barry Manilow when she drove me to school in 6th grade. “Mandy” at 95 decibels is extremely surreal…

Wasn’t it Duke who once declared that the Allman Bros. “emitted sounds that would sterilize frogs at a 100 yards?” Ah kids.

I wish I could do that…

My mom does that… Her Ex allways wanted me to turn down, but both of my parents(most of my family actually) seem to like loud music.
I’m lucky I guess!
