A few years ago, when I was a substitute teacher, one of the Special Ed teachers showed me an article (sorry, I don’t remember the journal) reviewing 3 (IIRC) major university studies on gaming. The conclusions of all of them? Habitual gaming rewires the synapses of the brain to work differently, with the end result of shortened attention span & reduced comprehension of abstract concepts.
