It’s the purse with which ‘Middle Margie’ made of with the purse.

… so to speak.

Ok, couldn’t Margie say she got a loan to pay the rent until the insurance money came in?

Is it just me, or do others find it funny/cute that Dick Tracy investigates a dinky 10 grand theft with the same interest and passion as he does all the million dollar Bribery type ones, lol?

Off-Topic …

Can’t believe I’ve just watched three new episodes of “TWIN PEAKS” after a 25+ year gap.

If the boys arrive with that search warrant, it’s game over for the Margies.

Also, Mike & Shelley established the satchel had been ‘Trashed’ last Sunday, so that panel was critical to everything that happens next.

As I said before, I think Little Margie is what used to be referred to as “slow witted”. I see her as the only one of the trio who might get a pass when all is said and done.

I called it yesterday! I said something stupid would happen!

Not that it was any better out in the trash behind the 3 Margies’ shop…

I still have hopes for the 3 Margies’ rehabilitation and reappearance in the strip, seeing as they’re acting more like The Three Stooges… just without the slapping and eye-poking…

Little Margie is into freecycling.

Little Martin is a very sympathetic person. Punishment will be light if at all.

Next question to Little Margie should be “Is that all you took from the dumpster?” If they’re going to get rid of the evidence, it should be all of it.

If Tracy and Sam arrive with the search warrant now, I’d try this:

BIG MARGIE: Detectives! I was just about to call you. I just discovered Little Margie with this satchel! I recognized it from the robbery – it’s what Brian was using to hold the money. Little Margie says she took the satchel out of a dumpster outside of Locher Auditorium.

LITTLE MARGIE: I’m sorry…

BIG MARGIE: What a coincidence, huh?

LOL!

At first, I thought the boots in panel 1 might be Perenelle’s – but unfortunately, they don’t match the ones in the December 20, 2016 strip :(

Also in panel 1, I assume that either only Middle and Little Margie were going to go to lunch (with Big Margie minding the store), or that they all brought lunch from where they are living. Even if the shop regularly closed for lunch (not the best of ideas since they have enough people to cover the store, and since business is obviously bad because of their financial problems), it would be at the same time each day, and Little Margie wouldn’t have to ask when lunch is.

I’m surprised by Big Margie’s quick defense of Little Margie. I guess she really does care for her cousin.

Meanwhile, the bag now has the fingerprints of Little and Middle Margie. I wonder if Middle M. may try to blame Little M. for the crime if the bag is found. If she did, Big Margie may confess to protect her.

I wonder if Little Margie even knew that was the satchel from the robbery. She may never have seen it before finding it in the dumpster.

Even so it would be harder to link the case to the robbery.

Tracy can pretty much close the case if he finds Brian’s fingerprints on the bag.

Let me compliment Shelley again. I like how panel 3 shows 3 very different emotions; Anger, Confusion and Frustration. Well done!

So now we can add dumpster diving to the plot threads running through this never-ending story.

I can’t blame Little Margie. I would’ve totally dumpster dive for a perfectly intact bag like that XD (Darn is she a cute character. I feel sorry for her and really don’t want to see her behind bars…unlike Big Margie. Dunno about Middle Margie tho…) Great art and acting. It’s really neat to look at the strip :)

A little friction between defensive Big Margie and offensive Middle Margie after naive waif Little Margie’s innocent gaffe retrieving the satchel (I would have called a purse; is Middle Margie Canadianne?) that happens to be a major clue to the cos con heist.

And Tracy and Sam are on the way, with warrant to search!

Looks like an exciting week has begun….

Apparently, “Satchel,” “Handbag” and “Purse” are semi-interchangeable terms.

Who knew?
