My own horse, pictured, did that the first time I took him out on the trial, on a lead line. He got loose and ran back home on the fairways, scattering golfers left and right.

Well, truth is, those greens and fairways make an excellent turf course.

Wouldn’t that be the dream of most of those clowns? having a horse race in the middle of a round of golf?

NOTE: jukeofurl lives 20 feet away from a golf course. Half mile from a horse farm ;-)

    Hmmmmmmm,

To correct his joyride, he could of course use the “unemployed teenagers to slave for you” (thanks Lew for mentioning this yesterday)

I normally start playing with 1 of my dogs, he loves to bring a ball back, and he can do so, for hours relentlessly. At the end of the afternoon, I sometimes have 100 golf balls :-))))) and mis the dogs tennis ball.

@jukeofurl My thinking is, if a horse did get loose, it might graze on the rough instead. Watch out for equid ‘land-mines’ on the course! Well, that’d be one way to mow the grass in a ‘green’ way.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but if I blame in the golfers, they’ll come after me with 5-irons..

The only joy ride through a golf course is without clubs, but I wouldn’t want to do it without balls.
