The teacher obviously knew next to nothing about the origin of the Graham cracker. It was designed by the Reverend Sylvester Graham, a minister and social reformer who felt that an unhealthy diet led to sexual excess. Yup – celibacy crackers.
The teacher was clearly wrong to down-grade Petey’s diorama just because s/he (the teacher) considers Graham’s achievement to be “trivial”: a reckless and unwarranted value-judgment! Think how many generations have lived by or at least with the graham cracker!

If Petey is documenting every event in history to that level of insignificance, he’s going to need a bigger bed!
