Chazz: ....so that's when she gave me the "it's not you, it's me" routine. Poncho: Ouch, brutal. You're better off without her. Chazz: You really think so? Poncho: Well, I don't really have much basis for comparison. I'm only six weeks old. But you seem like a good guy, and this cocoa is delicious. Chazz: I use half-and-half instead of milk. Poncho: Living well is the best revenge.

Never mind living well, dogs living after consuming cocoa shouldn’t be assumed.

Yeah, chocolate is a no-no for doggies!

QD - I think talking dogs are OK with chocolate based foods. There’s a different genetic line involved.

Nothing like a heart to heart conversation with man’s best friend, but yes, skip the chocolate and be safe. Have a martini instead.

I know that my puppy Pickles helped me get through my separation and divorce even though he never held up his end of the conversation!

Might want to get him liquored up before you explain why you’re taking him to the vet.

Ooooo now THERE is a likely reason Poncho has turned into a cynical troublemaker … see – before that vet trip he was sympathetic and nice, NOW he is a pistol! :)

From the mouth of Pups - Yes living well is the best revenge!
Seriously though I love seeing this more compassionate bonding moments between Poncho and Chaz before familiarity bred contempt.

Did Chazz make hot chocolate with half-and-half for his former girlfriend? If not, maybe she would have stayed if he had. If so, there must have been some other reason, but you can’t imagine anything being wrong with Chazz, can you?
