Me thinks Ghost doth protest the attention young Exner is receiving. If he had any grapefruits, he could be a Senior leader instead of a whiny little fart. I bet a knee injury or high ankle spain is right aroung the corner for Jamarr.

I don’t think that is the Ghost. He says he’s a linebacker, remember. The Ghost isn’t a linebacker.

Thaxton’s first name better be Lloyd.

Observe69—You’re showing your age with Lloyd Thaxton, I remember him from the sixties. This is probably hhis great grand son. LOL

Linebackers don’t get ink? Somebody better tell The Ghost about Ray Nitschke, Sam Huff, Dick Butkus, Mike Singletary and Lawrence Taylor.

Why is the Ghost wearing old computer punch cards for shoulder pads?

Observe69-Lloyd Thaxton. You’re making me have flashbacks here.

MilfJock and Wally – I’m actually just barely old enough to remember old Lloyd (I’m 50), but I grew up on the East Coast and never heard of him. I just happened to remember reading his obit a couple years ago. I am a big fan of old-school teen dance shows (such as the Buddy Deane Show in Baltimore, the basis for the original Hairspray movie).

So that raises the question of how old you guys are!

PS I also like names that sound like butlers: “Thaxton! Fetch me today’s Milford Gazette!”

PPS: Lloyd was name-checked by the Go-Gos, thereby cementing his place in pop music forever:

Observe69-I’m 64. I didn’t see an obit for Lloyd Thaxton. Hadn’t heard anything about him until you mentioned him yesterday. He had a great show. He had The Rolling Stones, The Byrds and Sonny & Cher and other great groups. British invasion bands.
