It’s not uncommon for “back channels”, but only after they’re established by the actual government and the elected officers AFTER they’ve been sworn in and are in the job.
Make sure you own the attorney general and get a real good cyber specialist when you set up your private server. Going cheap will cost you in the long run.
When the president gives his cell phone number to foreigners we can feel secure because we know he’s always working for our best interests and has good judgement?
This was so unusual Kushner scared the Russians. They never had someone from the White house so willing to give confidential information, they assumed it was a trick. But this administration is not sneaky, we all see what is going on. (okay, most of us (see above))
Do any liberals remember when Obama was reported to have opened back channel to Iran as a private citizen running for president?
How about his reported seeking of a back channel with Hamas as a president elect?
Of course you don’t remember him trying to talk privately with two terror supporting entities.
Why didn’t the main stream media condemn these actions? Why didn’t they dig into these reports? We know the answer. They support left wing ideas and candidates. It is only wrong when a conservative does it.
Does anyone remember when Obama was reported to have opened back channel to Iran as a private citizen running for president? No because this didn’t happen.
How about his reported seeking of a back channel with Hamas as a president elect? No? this is made up too?

The main stream media doesn’t condemn actions that don’t happen. They don’t dig into these reports that are not true. We know the answer. They give honest reporting that doesn’t fit with alt-news It is only wrong when a conservative makes up lies.
In contrast, we do have a white house that has tried to set up a back channel with Russia to give out our classified intel faster. Why isn’t the Main stream media talking about that?
@Carl Palmateer, of course, Gov. Pence using a private AOL e-mail account for State business was OK since he didn’t have his own server and didn’t save the e-mails to the State servers.

They aren’t using a back channel to hide their actions from their own government. They just want privacy.
