But what about Todd the Candy Dragon? He’s a six-limbed vertebrate.
I want to ride Rainbow Dash right now!
I think Marigold is mistaking Sleipnir for Pegasus. Then again, Odin’s steed has EIGHT legs (sort of like a spider rather than an insect).
There are plenty of non-insect animals that have more than four limbs. Non-insect arthropods, cephalopods, even some fish species.
What, did Dana think “vertebrate” was too advanced a word for her readers?
So centaurs are out too.
Uhm, don’t pixies have six limbs?
If she is counting wings as limbs, then insects would have eight limbs. Well, the ones with wings anyway.
I hope Pegasi get introduced very soon just to see the look on Marigold’s face. Plus it would be disappointing to have them brought up and only made myth.
Be careful, Marigold, Rainbow Dash might send a storm cloud your way.
Unicorns, check. Fairies, check. Goblins, check. Dragons, check. But NOOO Pegasi, check??
Unicorns, pixies. In my day all we had were elves. And they either worked for Santa Claus or ran a cookie baking operation inside a tree.
Methinks Marigold is in denial
I’m guessing their world does not include centaurs, mermaids, or other half-human-looking creatures.
Technicaly ribs are limbs. One pair of ribs could have changed into a wings in the past.
Whenever I think about My Little Pony skeletons, pegasi make me deeply uncomfortable, for precisely this reason.
Apparently the subject really throws Marigold for a loop — she also got the plural wrong. It’s pegasusses, Ms. Nostrils.
And, Marigold, Since you forgot, I’ll go across the shimmering rainbow mountains and notify the oompa loompa king and his squadron of naiads.
